Resources: The Chamber is a source for business contacts, information, connections, marketing opportunities and community involvement. The Chamber offers support for businesses and provides opportunities for them to highlight their products and services through grand openings, ribbon cuttings and ground breakings.
Education: Many opportunities are offered to educate and inform members. The Lunch & Learn seminars feature dynamic speakers from the Kansas City area. Topics have included public policy, economic development and area health care. The Business Education Series provides members with educational resources and expertise in many fields to strengthen their business skills and the Leadership Northeast program identifies and fosters leadership skills in participants.
Networking: At NEJC Chamber networking events, members make strong connections with other business owners. Popular networking events include “We’re Talkin’ Tuesday,” Coffee and Conversation and Business After Hours.
Legislative Advocacy: The Chamber’s legislative efforts are strong as the registered lobbyist works inTopeka to follow important issues on the Chamber’s behalf. There are local meet and greets for candidates, legislative breakfasts, State of the Cities luncheon, as well as other forums and debates.
Communication and Information: Members of the Chamber receive a subscription of the Chamber’s newsletter, NewsVoice, a weekly Business Brief and invitations to events and seminars for professional and personal development
