Welcome New NEJC Chamber of Commerce Board Members
I am proud to announce the new members of our Board of Directors for 2013. The Executive Committee and Board of Directors of the Northeast Johnson County Chamber of Commerce is comprised entirely of volunteers and concerned business professionals whose only compensation for their time and effort is that they truly make a difference in their community.
In 2013 we are pleased to add Richard France, Johnson County Community College, David Swinehart, Commerce Bank and Beverly Williamson, DocInk. The new board members will take office in January 2013 and their terms will expire in 2015.
I am excited to be working with our new board members. They will provide good insight and help to accomplish the Chamber’s goals. Each brings a different background, set of skills and expertise in areas that will assist the NEJC Chamber as we help small businesses grow.
Bill Menge, KCP&L, has been elected the 2013 Chair of the NEJC Chamber. Menge succeeds Dr. Gene Johnson, Superintendent of the Shawnee Mission School District, as Chair of the Board.
In January 2013, our Board of Directors and staff will be participating in a retreat where we set solid goals for the upcoming year and look ahead to develop new programs and provide opportunities to enhance your membership. The Board is very encouraged by the success of our members and ready to begin a new year reinforcing our Chamber’s mission of helping small businesses grow.
